monster rancher 1 help plz!

ok. when i start monster rancher it load's the screen telling me not to make copies and stuff of the game and then when it tries to play the NAMCO intro video it freezes. my pc specs are: 800FBS pentuim 4 3.0 ghz, radeon 9600 XT, 80 gig hard drive, and ive tried both 1.52 and 1.6 ePSXe. Im using petes opengl2. it is the PAL version and im using it as an ISO because i cant get my epsxe to read discs. please help!! thanks!!
