Tomb Raider 1 Audio

Unable to get the audio to work properly in TR1 (PAL). Most in-game sound effects are OK but no voices/music. Tried various sound plugins and config. settings but no joy. Does anyone know a fix for this prob?

Just make a check mark at "Enable SPU IRQ hack (need in some games)" under Config-->Sound.
That's what worked for me.

I wouldn't advice that. Better use eternal spu 1.41 and disable "spu irq hack" under sound->configs (but make sure you enable the 3 other checkboxes).

try mounting the cd image with daemon tools and there should be some audio options. enable them all and t should work!

I have the greatest hits version and get the same issue. I hear FMV and sound fx but, no in game music. I'm running it from the original disc. Tryed the external spu 1.4.1 and the spu irq hack, both did not work. I've haven't tryed the daemon tools mount yet. How do I go about doing that from original disc?

wow what an old thread.

read this to make an ISO

mount the image with daemon tools and use PSX 1.11 instead of epsxe to get voice and in game audio.

Tomb Raider 1 audio

I've been having the same problems, but when I mount the image with Daemon tools, and use sapu's cd-rom plugin v.1.0 the music plays perfect.
I use epsx 1.6 with internal epsxe spu version 1.5.2 sound plugin.
The same settings works with Tomb Raider 2.
Versions are ntsc.
Running the games with delta frontend.
regards

Mwahaha, finally:

ePSXEe 1.7.0
Eternal SPU 1.4.1
Mooby2 image driver 2.8 -> Just uncheck 'Enable subchannel data'

...does the trick !

Tested with both .BIN and .IMG formats (NTSC-U).
One of my fav' games of all times so:
Hope this will help...

PS: I see there's another similar thread but I don't know if it would be useful to c/p my post there:
Tomb Raider sound
