DDR and MTV, anyone try yet?

If you tried DDR; did you try it with the pad too? Also MTV had a issue with the sound, the game worked and all, just the sound had issues, anyone been able to get past that yet?

If the game, AND the pad work.

Also then you NEVER been to a arcade.... try 2 ppl who played for 2 years.. they kickoff the screen, trade places, dont even look at the screen etc and still take on the combos.. so fat person? Nay, Geek? Nay.. Style and hardness, sure. Plus when your a female and able to kick the guys ass, then thats fun. =P

But nah, just a question for posting on EMU compats list. Thats all. =)

I suppose if you can get it to register as a control in windows, then it should work in epsxe. I apologize for my comment earlier, although my opinion stands firm. Dorky skinny girls or fat girls play DDR.

I don't know about MTV Music Generator, but I have nine different DDR mixes for the PlayStation. They all work beautifully on my actual PSone, but I've tried them all in ePSXe and Connectix VGS with very little success. Not all of the mixes manage to run without crashing, and among those that do run, none of them can play a song with steps in sync with the music. Imperfect timing can be tolerable in games like RPGs, but when it comes to DDR it just makes the games unplayable. It seems to me that PlayStation emulation has quite a long way to go before it can be suitable for DDR.

Emulating the N64 version of DDR has the same big problem. Currently the only kind of home game system DDR that can be emulated in sync is DDR for Gameboy Color. I have actually tried using my dance pads on the Gameboy version, and it works well but as you can imagine it feels quite silly to be playing Gameboy DDR with a dance pad.

I have the demo version of MTV Music Generator. If you want, I'll test it myself.
