Ghost in the Shell
Game has heavy slow down on all systems and all configurations. We tried the game on my friend's Athlon XP 1800+/GF4 Ti4600 and the fastest speed we got was 30fps. It seems like the game is using a software renderer regaurdless of what GPU plugin you select. The music and sound play fine however, but the game itself (and the graphics) are dead slow.

I got almost the same problem.
But for me, I've got a Duron900 with a Voodoo2 banshee Card on Win2K. Unfortunately the OpenGL System doesn't work, so I play with Pete's PSX D3D (DX6) Renderer, DirectX8.1, 512MB Ram and GitS as US Version (sometimes CD, sometimes *.img) I have the same slowdowns in a whole bunch of the game. Worst thing (and espacially bad for the eye too) is the "Nightvision Google Mode" when you're in dark areas. It's flashing wild and ramdomly, you can't see anything and the game is slow as hell. The problem is... you can solve the Mission 2 (Featherhall), but now I'm on Mission 9 and you can't see anything. And the last levels are "Nightvision Mode" too. I don't know if Pete reads this, but if so. I hope this information was helpful. |
