Wipe3out PAL hangs short after race starts

Hello,

Does any body was able to run Wipeout 3 with epsxe(1.4 or 1.5) on an Athlon processor?

I'm using an original CD
I've tryed:
Athlon700+voodoo5 5500+Win98 with petes D3D or Lewpy's Glide and with Null's² or eteral SPU, and it freeze shortly after I cross the lazer in the 1st race. on the fourth race, there are garbage lines and triangles, and it hangs.

I've also tryed it on a Celeron900+SIS with same cobinations of plugins as above under WinXP. V1.4 has the same problems, and V1.5 exits with no errors on the start menu.

I've also tried PPF files, but 1 (small one, has no effects), and the other has an unknown opcode befor 1st video.

I've also seen that 3 persons have reported thas this game works fine. I've also tryed the same plugins as them, with same results on both computers (athlon700+win98 and celeron900+winXP)

If I can help in debug, please tell me.

PS: excep this game, all of my games are working fine at full speed (gran turismo 1 & 2, wipeout2097,kula world, tunnel B1, Pyro, Medievil1 &2,...)

no try using a different ppf file. it worked for me. the good ppf file has a name beginning by PDX.

What you need to do is go into the cdrom plugin (recommend pete's) then create a m3s file for the cd.

Then select to read subchannels with file and select the m3s file you just created.

It will work fine once you've done this. Although you might not get any music

I encountered almost the same problem here. But I don't have a PPF Patch for Wipeout 3 (don't know where and how to find it). And my problem is, that the game won't even start if I choose a track.

Option Mode works fine, you can do everything, unless you start a race.
