Disk Swap Problems with Lunar 2

I have been unable to swap disks in Lunar 2 using ePSXe 1.7.0. Ever time I try to swap the ISOs (self ripped from legit copies I own), the game still asks for me to insert disk 2. I bypassed the issue by dropping back down to 1.6.0.

might be a bug in 1.7, im not sure though, i never heard about anything of the sorts during the beta testing nor do i see anything like this mentioned in the documentation. i have this game and if i find the time i will try and get a hold of a save game close towards the end of disc 1 and see what happens myself when the disc swap is triggered.

Don't the Lunar games make a final save when you finish a disc? You should be able to just boot up the second disc normally and load your save.

Mount the game onto a virtual drive then swap the disks using the internal CDR, its the only viable work around atm.

The fastest way to check would be to start a new game on disk 2, it will ask for disk 1. As for the final save, no dice there.

imo, disk swapping via ISO's has never worked 100%, its likely caused by the fact the iso loader doesn't read the S###### file, but instead loads the image as is.

either play from the game disc or mount the image on a virtual drive.

I just had an idea reading all this but I somebody to tell me if it'll work or not. What if say with Daemon Tools you made threes VCD's and put each ISO into a drive then when it came time to switching from say disc 1 to disc 2 just tell the emulator which drive the disc was in?

yeah, actually its annoying that you have to exit the app just to change plugins and settings.

PEC allows you to Ctrl+K in-game and change the video settings / plugin.
