Legend of Legaia....black screen :(

The emulator reads the iso fine but once it gets past that point I get a black screen registering 0 FPS. I am not sure if its the iso or not but I played the game a few years back on an earlier version of EPSXE with a physical copy of the game(my previous roommate has yet to return it!).

What settings to I need to get the game working? I am currently running 1.6.

System specs:

e6300 Dual-Core @ 2.8 ghz
2 ghz ddr2 800
ATI 1900 XTX 512mb

Last year I have re-played it once more using Pete's OpenGL 2.8 and Eternal SPU plugin. As far as I remember there was only a problem with framebuffer effect when you battled. But I have completed the game without getting any black screen problem. The only black green problem I've ever got is when my Alundra2 disc was corrupted.

It might just be a bad iso image. Not really sure. I would buy it again if it were not so expensive now.

you should already have it, its where you are supposed to be getting your images from anyway. not having the disc on hand can present a real problem when troubleshooting because it can be used to rule various possiblilites out and narrow things down. you should check ebay or amazon for a copy.

it sounds to me like an image file that wasnt made correctly, and in order to make one that will work, you will need to original game disc, theres no way around that really if this is in fact the case here.

Don't play captain justice with me. I own the game I just can't get ahold of the person who currently has it.

im not playing "captain justice" with anyone, and frankly i dont really care. im telling you that if your image has not been made correctly, you need the original game disc on hand if you want any sort of chance of playing this game without problems.

have you tried using another emualtor like psx to see if it works on something other than epsxe? and how are you loading it, are you mounting it on a virtual drive software like daemon tools?

I tried both ways (open iso and daemon tools) but the more I think about it I had newer versions of epsxe back when I was playing it then but the only version I could get it to play on was 1.4 and I can't find it anywhere.

no i ment like something besides epsxe, like psx or pcsx. you can get them from their respective homepages which are here and here. the reason im suggesting this is because i want to see if this is indeed related to the image itself or if it is some sort of setting/system issue. if the image works on either of those two emulators then that will confirm that it is not the image that is the problem.
