Brave Fencer Musahsi Sound

Alot of the music in brave fencer musashi is not working on the emukator. The part that i can't fix is in the beginning when musashi is running aways from the stone head on the top of spiral tower.

Does anyone know what can fix that?

how do you have it set up and in the spu selection, what boxes do you have enabled (there are 4 of them)?

I am using the 1.41. I use it through the epsxecutor. so i don't have those four options. i have tried it that way before with all four checked in.

only want to have the top 3 boxes checked. and in the eternal config, you want to set it up like this:

audio device- directsound
buffer size- 64
audio-out method- thread
all 3 special game fixes enabled
"wait for XA buffer is free" enabled under the "misc" section

Thanks for helping so far, but the music still isn't playing. I put it to those specifications. That config you gave me, made my game lag alot. Are there any other ways to fix the music?

how are you playing the game, disc or image? if you are using an image, what format did you make it in? you might have created an image in a format that doesnt support subchannel data. have you tried running the game from each method to see if this occurs in both? i suggest you attempt to do it from the disc as well because while im not 100% sure, its possible that game uses cdda audio, which would explain missing music.

i have not tried using the disc because i don't know how to. But i did make a copy of it to an "IMG" format. I also have in the directory a "CCD", "SUB", and "CUE" for this game. I use the mooby2 cd disc image driver 2.8 cdrom plugin with the cdda enabled. i also enabled the subchannel data.

playing from the disc is simple, its just like running it from an image, only instead of doing file>run iso from the GUI you do file>run cdrom. the format for you image is fine, as long as all the files (.img, .ccd, .sub and in this case, .cue) are kept in the same directory together and are not placed in a bunch of separate folders or anything. if you want to you could try making another image in .bin/.cue format and see if that makes any difference. another thing you could try to do is mount the image on a virtual drive software like daemon tools and direct the cdrom plugin to look at the virtual drive and run it that way.
