Hopefully my last MGS question. . .

The game crashes when an FMV is played, like during the talk with Ken Baker. This has happened on both the D3D and OpenGL gpus as well as both the disk and the iso. Any solution or workaround?

This is a known issue with MGS,ePSXe crashes when a MDECs starts,it works fin in version 1.0.1 and from a comment of galtor on the board,it's fixed in the next version.
So in order to play the game correctly in the current version, use ePSXecutor and disable MDECs.

there is a command line option in executor.. type in the command line you want to use in it.. ie..

-loadbin D:\mgs.bin

easy.. Then just click.. Oh and if you don't want to see all the openning screens from the psx boot up process use -f

ie..

-loadbin d:\mgs.bin -f

Disabling MDECS just skips past the FMV without crashing the game. So there is no way to see FMVs?

Nope.. Not in the current version of epsxe.. you will just hear the conversation.. Atleast the conversation scenes still work correctly.. Most of the story is told through them anyways..

The game is great but too linear... greatly lowers replayability. Play MGS: Integral instead!
