Unhappy Chopiness in LOD

Sup everyone i have some problems with LOD i can play it but the game is kinda choppy and so is the sound. How do i fix this??

umm well it's a pretty ghetto comp i have sumthin that's about the same speed as a normal pentium 2 64mgb of ram and a bunch of no name stuff
i'm using
Video - Pete's Soft Driver 1.54
Sound - Eternal SPU Plugin1.10
CD Rom - Pete's CDR ASPI/IOCTL Driver 1.7
BIO - 7502

change SPU from eternal to Pete's then put it into fast mode

If you don't know yur comp stuff,i bet it's pretty crappy. Get more ram too...I have 256 mg.

My friend says i shouldn't need n e more ram because it worked perfectly well on his comp when he had 64 mg

and what do u mean by fast mode??

Puero: It's an option in the DSound plugin (in the "Misc" box). You can choose high compatibility mode or fast mode.

use opengl instead of soft driver.

If hes got a crappy old comp then soft is the best for him , opengl is going to be loads slower

maybe so but there is more choppiness with soft and lod so that may explain it...or his comp is just crap.

opengl isn't supported by most of decent computer (i'm not dissing it, relax).
I suggest to try the pete's d3d plugin (set the "fast" settings here too) or even kazzuya soft gpu (this one's fast)
in order to test if your computer can really run games at full speed (50 fps for pal ones / 60 fps for ntsc).
during gameplay, press the "delete" button on your keyboard and you should see a number, showing the FPS.

I'm not dissin anything, i'm just saying that your computer MIGHT be crap or you MIGHT be too stupid to make it work right,but relax...I had crappy sound too but I still played through the intire game.
