How do you use the cheat option in ePSXe

Hey guys, I am a new user to ePSXe and wanted to know how to get cheat codes for games. I do not know how to use the cheat options in the program. It does not look like the input is for Gameshark codes. Please help. Thanx.

You'll need to download [pec] plugin and set it as the Video plugin in ePSXe to enable and use cheats on your games.

I don't know how that thing works, but you can use PEC to cheat. It has already a lot of codes for the most common games and it is compatible with the gameshark-codes.

NB: PEC can be downloaded from pec.emucheater.com

Quite true, but a bit troublesome thou having to open up the config video menu everytime you wants to enable or disable a cheat.

BTW - If I set [pec] as the video plugin, does that mean I cannot use Pete's OGL GPU?

I believe the correct URl is www.emucheater.com Once there JNS has posted everthing you need to get it up and running. It is the closest thing to a real Game Shark you'll ever find for PSX emulators. BTW it also works w/Adripsx as well.

I think that http://pec.emucheater.com is the new URL cos' you'll be directed to it if you keyed in www.emucheater.com as the address. Correct me if i'm wrong.

The ePSXe cheat option is only for loading patches to make games work.

Maybe ePSXe team should change the Cheat menu to Patch so as to avoid any misunderstanding.

I know, when I first played ePSXe v1.0.1, I thought it was for cheating too. But it can be used for cheating if you use a [pec] add on that converts codes to ePSXe format. Using [pec] itself is easier, though.
