Chrono Cross problem!!! help

I use epsxe to emulate CC. It works fine at first. But after I obtain the Fairy, and named it, which means after I push confirm the name, the screen just black out forever. There was still music in a slower pace. Dose any one have the same problem? How to resolve it??
I tried to use VGS to go through that part but the memory converter seemed to have some major problem converting between epsxe and VGS. ( I had this problem before. To solve it, I have to convert VGS mem to *.gme, then use ePSXeCutor to import the gme. That is the only way I know that works for converting from VGS to epsxe. However, it is not reverseable.)

Try to press F7(a patch for CC)and it should work.

Yup.
It fixes also the status problem.
(although it slows down the game a bit)

There is another problem:
later in the game you'll come up with a room where you can't see anything,you'll have to find your way without seeing where you're going.
