No problems here. Have you tried running games as an ISO? You didn't really specify what problem, exactly, you're experiencing.

no problems here either and I've been running ePSXe in XP for sometime now.
what is the specific problem you are expirencing? if you don't have enough room on your hardrive to make an ISO, you might want to give pete's CDT 1.7 a try, just be sure to disable CDDA in the sound options. |

I forgot about the ASPI drivers. The ones I downloaded are from Goldenhawk if you want to try that. Actually, I use the Adaptec ASPI drivers--but it's easy to grab 'em from Goldenhawk.

If you just upgraded to WinXP, you have to delete the registry settings for EPSXE. once you do, when you load EPSXE, the configuartion wizard will load up. go through the configuration, using Petes 1.7 CD Rom plugin, and you should be set to go

You might also have problems if you use a Voodoo 3 (4,5) card.
The 3dfx Drivers Windows XP provides are not working correctly. You can find better (although not official) drivers on the net. You will get some strange error messages, but it will work 100%.

I have been running ePSXe on XP since the beta release. The only problem I had was with the cd plug-in. You will need to use the internal cd plug-in. If this does not work try uninstalling and reinstalling. Hope this helps.

Well, I've tested the Voodoo XP drivers to work fine in ePSXe, although, it may crash your PC at random (rare) and crash when quitting or changing display modes, and Alt + Tab is not possible either. At least Glide works, put it that way.

A bit off and a bit on topic...
Greetings,
First, Im glad to see that ePSXe works with winXP. I am about ready to format my harddrive, and intend to load a new operating system (tired of win98 and all its faults) One thing that troubles me specifically is the lack of performance of my All In Wonder Radeon under winXP. From the benchmarks I saw sometime ago, it took quite the performance hit. Does anybody know if this has changed at all recently? Last, CIoud, did you draw that picture yourself? If you did, you are one hell of a talented artist, and I would love to see more of your work. Got an URL? Sincerely, TastEPlasma |
