FF7 New Game - How?

I can't start a new game. I know people were discussing it somewhere, but I couldn't find the topic, even with the search engine. If you know how to start a new game, I'd love to know. In other words: heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!

Alienist: Are you using version 1.4.0? The previous version did not start FF7 games properly. If that's not the problem, could you be a bit more specific about how it isn't starting?
