Eternal SPU is eternally slow .. :(

I find it kind of sad that this plugin is so slow... Why Iori? Why?? (I'll stick with his v1.4 plugin from now on... )

Well,it will be faster if you set reverb on black instead of gray(but the reverb quality will go down a bit.)
I'm lucky enough to not be affected by the slowliness of this plugin(Thanks AMD,thanks ).

Yeah, the plugin is of good quality, but don't you think it's a bit crazy that you'd need a GHz processor to run it nicely?? Seems a bit wrong to me ...

I don't think you need a GHz machine,I run ePSXe in 1280x1024 in 32 bits with Eternal SPU at something like 200/300 fps without the frame limiter(maybe slower sometimes).

hmmmm

Same with our 733mhz Pentium 128meg RAM TNT2
Works very well...
Not all games require reverb..so gray works well...Is it specific games that you experience this? or all that you have tested?

For me, speed is perfect but the sound is really crackly.

[edit] I raised the sound buffer to 35 and now its not crackling anymore!! The sound is great too!

Comparason:

NextGL v1.5 and Iori Lite v1.4 (defaults/reverb) - Trap Gunner Menu - ~58FPS

NextGL v1.5 and Eternal v1.0 (defaults/no reverb) - Trap Gunner Menu - ~30FPS

Almost a 30 frame difference! How is that fast? :P

I tried NexGL but I can't save my settings. When I play a game, the display doesn't come up but I can play the game. It does go very very fast though so I guess thats a good thing .
