hey im trying to get this game to play but after pressing start it will jus go to a black screen... i can still esc the game but it jus sits there.... i tried pressing f4 before and after i pressed start but it didnt work... anyone get this game to work?? plz help thx

The game works for me when I use Pete's soft GPU 1.53. I have a Geforce card and run it from an ISO.

it's probly the cd rom drive plugin u r usen.....

I tried this game recently and i've only had partial luck w/ it.
I used the old ASPI 1.2 cdr driver (game ran super slow), and was able to get past the first movie to the option screen, where i chose original game..then it played that lil movie...then it died at the other option screen after i picked to start the game.

only seemed to work on my IDE dvdrom drive...had worse luck w/ my SCSI cdr drive.

was using pete 1.53 and the epsxe sound thingie

I use Pete's Soft Driver1.51 There's no need to use the other drivers(those enhance the graphics(?)) cause CV: Chronicles is all sprite based

Hmmm, even if the game IS all sprite based, you will still get a better framerate with hardware acceleration. So, unless you have a powerfull machine, you'll want to keep hardware accel if you can.
