Laggy games while playing by myself?
Whenever I play some games (mainly Driver 2) the game just randomly stalls and then keeps going, these stalls are only a max of 5 seconds but it happens too often. Anyone know whats going on? This even happens after I just start the computer or reboot it.

Could it be some program running in the background? You could ctrl-alt-del and close out everything except explorer and systray. It doesn't seem too likely on your fast PC, but you never know, try it. Also don't forget about Aldo's Speed Up Processes.

That was happening to a friend of mines' too.
His problem was that windows would write to the swap file at different times, and effectively halt the emu. Try going into system.ini and put this under the 386 enhanced section... ConservativeSwapfileUsage=1 It worked for him....maybe it's your problem too. |
