Dragon quest 7

Does anyone know I f Dragon Quest 7 is compatible with epsxe? I have a backup, and it plays up to the enter name screen, then crashes. Any takers? please help!!

You might be out of luck for awhile on this one. Dragon Quest 7 (aka Dragon Warrior 7) isn't out, except for in Japan, yet. Unless someone had an import and had figured this out, I doubt if anyone would know what was going on. Sorry. BTW the game isn't due out here in the USA until the fall of 2001. It's on my must have list, I'm gonna pick it up as soon as it is out.

P.S. I hate to ask this, but when you say a backup, is this a backup from a copy you own? Or is it an illegal backup? the reason I ask is because illegal copies and backups are known to have problems. This is most likely due to the way they were copied. EPSXe has trouble w/many of these illegal versions but the orginal games it runs just fine. The other reason I ask is because if it is an illegal backup then it is forbidden to dscuss it on these boards. This is the wishes of Bobbi the web master/owner, all of the admins, and the other members of these boards.
If it is a legal backup (from a copy you own), then please accept my apologies for bringing this up.

I'm sorry I didn't clarify, I have both the original and backup, and both crash my epsxe at the enter name screen, Now both work fine in my PSX, but on the emulators ( and others) it crashes. Could this be because it's an import? My other import games work great, but this is frustrating! please help

Okay, glad we got that cleared up. I don't like to insinuate, but I feel I must ask. Anyway, back to the topic. Since it is an import, that could be why it is crashing. Not all imports work w/ePSXe, some crash (like yours) and others work great. About all I can suggest is to try every combination of plugins and configs that you can think of. One of them might just solve your problem. Take care.

Wow, I hadn't heard of that game, but now I'm also eagerly awaiting it. I have played Dragon Warrior 1 and 3 on the original NES. Hopefully it will live up to those titles and have some nice graphics as well. I hope I can count on it because Dragon Warrior 1 & 3 are the only RPGs I ever played all the way through.
