Legen Of Dragoon freeze!

oh maaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!! I have a fatal problem using ePSXe 1.4.0 while playing LOD

it happens when I sneak to black castle an I have to fight three soldiers who are in training, after the first fight, the screen just freeze, sometimes the exp screen comes out sometimes it doesn't.

a similar problem happens when I visit helena prison for the second time, but I can escape from the soldier who are chasing me, oh and it happened again when I was in the prairie, after some fight, the screen freeze after I defeated something, I don't think this a GPU fault... or is it?

I have other problems too with LOD, it can't be saved and it can't be load. Wonder what's the problem? :confused: So,I play it with VGS 1.41. It works well 'till Disc 4. But I managed to pass it with FPSE 0.09.

So,thanx to those two emulators

Actually, it can. You just have to press F4 before saving.

I have the same freeze problem but it's gone after i stick all the cdrom option.

Huh? But I've tried that.. and it doesn't work too.
Anyway,I've played Megaman X5 with ePSXe 1.40, and I don't push F4 before saving my games. And it works, not like my Dragoons. (sorry if I have a bad english.... I'm Indonesian anyway )

Trust me, I have played Legend of the Dragoon on ePSXe and yes, I can save it if I press F4 before saving.

I have tried F4 and it works, but there are peculiarities, you have to make sure it's enabled by exiting the game for a moment and make sure the SIO IRQ F4 is ticked in the epsxe box.

For those who have noticed my earlier posts with problems with epsxe 1.4.0 & LOD - I noticed that during DISC 2, with F4 enabled by default, the keys input are frozen until you disable F4 again in the game and reenable it to save - I know it sounds strange but it works.

Anyways, does anyone know why LOD has no SFX during execution of Dragoon Magic??? and sound drop outs during fight scenes?

for the person who put all the cd options on, I believe the only cd option you need to enable to get things working peachy with Legend of Dragoon is accurate cd-rom timing. As for the lock up with the soldiers, I don't know, I didn't have the problem with the earlier version of epsxe and I would hope it didn't pop back in this version.
