if you got a voodoo, use lewpy's glide pluggin.... nvidea, use petes opengl.... anything else, use petes d3d or software..... there is no special settings needed.... Just press f4 to get controls working while the game is running....... and then f4 again to get memcards working.... The voices in this game are jacked in epsxe 1.2 no matter what sound pluggin you use..... I suggest testing them all and using the one that sounds the best....... I have found though, that the voices for Dino Crisis 1 (US) sounds better in fpse.... that other psx emu.... I can actually here whole conversations on fpse....... You could try that...... Although it runs slower than epsxe on my system, but still fast since I got a tbird 1000, voodoo 5 5500 agp..... here is my configuration if it will help......

You have to apply the patch to the ISO file. You can find one at Megagames...

Choppy Soud problems in Dino Crisis are very known problems in ePSXe (and not yet corrected). So you can run directly from CD or ISO without problems except for the sound.

Unless you are using the NTSC version, where it does not get past the "Gore warning" screen. I could not play that game until I installed the patch, and I'd tried every plugin in every combination.

If that is so, then there are multiple NTSC US versions of Dino Crisis. Mine doesn't work without the patch.

KillerShots, I do believe you are right. There must be multiple version of Dino Crisis 1 US NTSC. I say this because mine does the same thing as yours, won't get past the warning screen. I, too, have tried every plugin and keypress to get it to go, but nope.
Guess I'll just have to make an ISO and do it that way. sincerely, sx/amiga Last edited by sxamiga; June 18th, 2001 at 21:26. |
