ePSXe = Great (again)

Well somehow I got a spped boost in FF8 scince last time I used it (last time being too long ago) and now I get a steady 55 fps with FF8, but that might be because I finally got to overclocking my TNT2 to dangerous levels. Either way, I thought i'd remind everyone how great ePSXe is.

You can use a program like PowerStrip to do it. There's also a way to enable core and memory clock adjustments in the display properties on the detonator drivers but I'm not sure how to enable it.

you can enable the overclocking options in Display properties by using a coolbits registry. Try searching the net for a "Coolbits" registry btw i always using display properties panel to overclock my card

Well, the overclocking option somehow got enabled in the display properties when I installed PowerStrip. It probably enabled something in the registry.

Rivatuner will let you set higher clock rates than the control panel, if your card can handle it...

Yes

There always is with overclocking. Having said that, I do it all time and I've never damaged anything Generally, you will start getting screen corruption and/or instability before you reach the point where you actually break something. Just make sure to increase the clock in small increments, say 5MHz at a time.

Just do a search on Google.

I like RivaTuner because it has a help file that actually tells you what every option does.

i had my card overclocker in +17mhz Memory / Core but i started getting bad poligons in Grandia II now im @ +10 each

Man I wish I could overclock my card. I can, but even raising clock speed by 5 mhz I start getting red dots and artifacts all over the place. And my system is extremely cool, temp levels are always good, guess my card just doesn't like to be overclocked

RivaTuner?! Never heard of that, I use the best, NVMax is where it's at. I managed to up my core speed about +20mhz and my memory speed to +15, kinda amazed anything hasen't blown yet. But everything seems to be working fine, I get a few extra frames with MOHAA now and loading for some games seems a little faster.

P.S. - What are some programs to check your internal temperatures? I used to know them back when I wanted to overclock my celeron ( ) but when I check about overclocking mine was one of the models that you couldn't overclock.

only 20MHz? I raised it by 80 MHz and system freezed within 15 mins. What is the maximum core processor speed that a Tnt2 M64 can perform at?
