Graphics problems with Chrono Cross

Everytime in Chrono Cross, when during battle, I use an element there is a split screen black out. The whole screen turns black for a second during the casting of the element. I find it irritating as I cannot see what happens when the element is cast. I'm sure this is a graphical error maybe with Petes OPENGL plugin? Could there be a setting that I might have missed?

I am currently running a Celeron 400 with 96 MB RAM and a GEFORCE DDR.
The game play is pretty much perfect except for the sudden slowdown in music now and then.

Yes, i think you need a newer version of the plugin. Try using the D3D plugin.

Maybe you have to use pete d3d direct6 for best graphic...you also can use direct7 but have alot of graphic glitches!!!
