Wild Arms sound probs and massive slowdowns

After the main credits come up and the opening FMV starts the sound skips and sounds all messed up like someone is crumpling a piece of paper over and over again. as for the slowdowns they only happen when inside dungeons and at the part where the king dies in Alhyde or whatever that kingdoms name was any help on either of these two problems?

mmm your comp is fast so shouldnt have any trouble with this game.
I'd say 1st try turning off sub channel support as its not needed and turn off spu irq in the select sound plugin page.
if these dont fix it then try making an iso as maybe your cdrom is slowing it down (also choose your cd rom letter in the cd rom page dont just put 1st)
I run this game with fsaa and screen smoothing on in petes ogl and it runs very sweet on my comp (athlon1200/rad64)
