Question

Hey all,

This is an extremely weird and frustrating problem. I have MGS, the PAL version, and it simply refuses to run on epsxe - this baffles me as looking at the epsxe compatability list other people seem to have no such problem. Additionally it works fine under VGS. The weird part is, which must have something to do with the problem, is when epsxe is booting the CD it detects it as NTSC.

I have tried most of the plugins. I have tried setting the country as PAL to force the setting. This is the first problem of this kind I have encountered with epsxe and I would greatly appreciate some help.

thanks.

Re: Metal Gear PAL refuses to boot?!

If I remember correctly, MGS needed the "SIO irq always enabled" to turned OFF
(it can also be turned on and off ingame by pressing F4). I don't have the game now with me (which is NTSC version), so i can't test it but maybe this will solve the problem? Hope you get it working, cause it's an awsome game.

Re: Metal Gear PAL refuses to boot?!

you might want to try running the ISO from your hd, this seems to solve a lot of problems in many games
