Oh Dino .... ,crisis here...,
Do ePSXe support dino crisis 1 & 2 (US)?
I'like 'em but have some speech problems, it stu..utt..te..ring and I only catch; "Look.... ... ...", "Hey... .... ....." , "Okay.. .. .." In case, only the first words on the air (incomplete dialogue), and missing speech appear. But else , perfect. Used bios was ; scph1001.bin Video; pete, OpGL 1.5 Sound; ePSXe int spu CDrom; ePSXe cdr else, I keep trying other plugins, but still have problems. Compare to my Alone In The Dark; new nightmare, it's was REALLY PERFECT (overall)... :eyes:

Failed!
I guess this game need constant frame to maintain speech sequence. My smallest fps was 56 and limited to 60. But "Alone in the Dark" experience the same specs and fps average, could do better. or Do I need another bios? Mine was only use k6-2 500 and Gforce2mx plus 128 ram.

First of all your going to have speech problem, no doubt.
But if I was you I would put Pete's Midas 1.7 SPU, and for the CD-ROM plugin I would put Pete's CDR plugin 1.4. And I have to say Dino Crisis 2 is one of the best compatibility in ePSXe.

You know I also have a DVD-ROM and I'II tell you one thing when the mdecs play, they won't play smooth, instead there will be constant pauses, but in the meantime the game will play O.K.
But do you have another cd-drive, or a CD-WRITER?

Try this, use Pete's CD plugin vers. 1.4. Then when you go to configure it, check the speed limiting option at 2x. This will limit your drive to 2x speed which is the speed of an actual PSX CD unit.
Most drivers support this, though some do not. Doing this has helped many people w/their MDEC and sound problems. It fixed Gauntlet Legends for me. Also, did you say that you have Dino Crisis 1 (the first one) working in ePSXe? If so, what version do you have? I have the US NTSC version and it hangs at the warning screen every time. I would like to play it if I can only get it working. Thanks. sincerely, sx/amiga |

the solution to your problem
I had the very same problem, and the solution is very simple... stop using epsxe!!!... play the game with the vgs!!!
I know the graphics are not as good.. but you can play the game from start to finish without having to worry about all the configuration bull&%/& from epsxe... |
