Problems with Final Fantasy IX

When I press the new game option in Final Fantasy IX instead of starting a new game the intro FMV appears and the game doesn't start! Can anyone help me??? I really wanna play this game!

I'm using the PAL. And something even stranger occured. I can't even load a game. The same thing appens. The intro video appears. Damn

Never mind the problem! Already fixed it! I only needed to change the CD rom plugin.
