Question GT2 slowdown

Can anyone tell me why GT 2might suddenly slowdown during play on both VGS win and epsxe 1.5.0 . I have a k6-2 475 with an 8mb 3d rage pro.with petes drivers(sound and videoD3D).Every time it slows the emu begins to read from the cd-rom drive , could it be because I only have 128mb of memory or is my cdrom driver out of date. The cdrom does have trouble identifying cds at times.

Making an iso helps in such situations.

yah make an ISO...and if still slow...definitely its your video card...and if you still insist on playing it try using software drivers for your video plugin
