FF8 won't run at all. I 've read all about it.

I cant play my FF8. I've tried pete's plugins, null2's.. I've tried an ISO.. i used to get to the NEW GAME/CONTINUE screen.. When i clicked NEW GAME, i got a black screen.
Now All i can get is the starting screen with "square electronic arts" (and with poor definition).

I've read many questions in forums, websites, i've tried all tips and nothing works! COME ON! there's got to a person to help me!! WHERE ON EARTH ARE YOU? (you could be from outter space.. i dont care!)

Is FF8 the only game that you can't play?

It's the only one i want (i'll give the cds to my sister so that she can play in her pc).. I tried "street fighter collection".. it worked but very slow and the sound terrible, like echoing..

Are you sure this CDR plugin works for WINXP? anyway.. i clicked on its CONFIG but the config window doesnt open.

I don't have XP, but I think it'll work.
You pc spec is quite good. Try to use ISO to make game runs fater.
Some pc have sux CD-ROM drive

It might've helped me not to give up.. or.. maybe they didnt try FF8.. By the way, i use WinXP Pro.. The only thing they said i dont have is that ASPI thing..

I have WinXP pro, and I haven't had one problem whatsoever with epsxe. My roommate plays FF8 day and night at perfect speed and graphics resolution. Here are my video settings:

I also use the epsxe CDR Wnt/W2k core 1.5.0. If all else fails, delete everything, clear registry entries, and reinstall epsxe.

Have you Tried the last resort? Try deleting all the configs from the registry, then set the game up again. Also try making sure that all the special game fixes are off in Pete's plugin.
