A screenshot and some info about your config of epsxe and it's pluggin as well as some info on your system would help..

Isn't there a special game fix for that in Pete's plugins?

To fivefeet8:
system:
Pentium III 733
TnT2 64M
128 MB ram

GPU:
pete's openGL 1.58
config:
Resolution/Color:
- 320 x 240 window mode (32 bit)
- Keep psx aspect ratio: off

Textures:
- R8G8A8A8
- Filtering: 6
- Garbage collection: on
- VRam size: 0 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 3
- Framebuffer texture: 2
- Alpha multipass: on
- Mask bit: on
- Advanced blending: on

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Line mode: off
- Unfiltered FB: off
- Dithering: off
- Screen smoothing: on
- Full vram: off
- Game fixes: on
(ff7 texture box, ff9 battle screen fix)

To Shiori: really? there's only that ff9 battle screen fix in the special game fix section... didn't see anything else that helps to correct this dialogue glitch problem...

1. never use the FF7 fix with anything else but FF7
2. play with all the filtering/smoothing options, and turn off FSAA (if present)

Pete is correct (go figure, huh?) If i forget to turn off the ff7 fix then both ff8 and ff9have a border issue, turn it off and everything is smooth.
