putting filtering at 6 will cause major slowdowns.... well for me anyway, here's my setting...

Well they don't cause slowdowns if you have a decent Video card. I run it with these settings and get great results.
Oh yeah I'm running on a Athlon Tbird 1.2 ghz with 512 mb of 133 sdram. Hmm oh yeah also my card is overclocked a little. Mainly the ram. And I have a Western digital ultra 100/ATA 40 gb HD. And I get 59.9 fps at a steady rate (Except on some menus but who really cares )Plugin: Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.1.56 Author: Pete Bernert Card vendor: NVIDIA Corporation GFX card: GeForce2 TI 500 [4xFSAA] Resolution/Color: - 1600x1200 Fullscreen - Desktop changing [32 Bit] - Keep psx aspect ratio: off Textures: - R8G8A8A8 - Filtering: 6 - Caching: 2 Framerate: - FPS limitation: on - Frame skipping: off - FPS limit: Auto Compatibility: - Offscreen drawing: 3 - Framebuffer texture: 0 - Alpha multipass: on - Mask bit: on - Advanced blending: on Misc: - Scanlines: off - Line mode: off - Unfiltered FB: off - Dithering: on - Full vram: off - Game fixes: on [00000200] |

If filtering 6 causes major slowdowns for someone. I know I have them. Then I would suggest putting it at zero. You do not get the rectangles formed like in Chrono Chross, you also do not get the weird lines. And also the background seems more complete. The downside is however that you will be able to count the pixels used of the background lol
