Exclamation Bug with XA read in 1.5.0 (please read)

I think there could be a bug in the XA code of ePSXe 1.5.0

Many people found out that Ghost in the Shell doesn't run with 1.5.0 but it does run with 1.4.0. Today I've found out, that you have to press F6 twice to turn XA read off and then on again and Ghost in the Shell runs in 1.5.0 too.
Same thing with Gaoranger. It worked in 1.4.0 but it hangs right at the start with 1.5.0. If you press F6 twice it will show the intro just like 1.4.0 does.

Why does it work without disabeling XA read in 1.4.0 but needs to disable it in 1.5.0 for those games to work properly?

This really is only a problem with 1.5.0 and with every combination of video, sound and CDR plugins I've tried (about 12 combinations), so I think it's a bug in ePSXe and not a plugin problem.

some more info about the problem

It doesn't matter if I run the games from CD or from ISO and I don't think it's a problem with my hardware or configuration, since many other people on the message board also have problems with Ghost in the Shell and ePSXe 1.5.0, but not with 1.4.0

The XA read problem also happens with Final Fantasy 6 but not with Final Fantasy 5.
Press F6 twice at the Squaresoft logo to make Final Fantasy 6 run with ePSXe 1.5.0
