Mega Man PSX Games

For any who wonder, I have gotten all of the good Mega Man games for PSX (Mega Man X4-6 & Mega Man 8) to work perfectly, pretty much, with ePSXe. If you are having problems getting a configuration to work, post and I'll try to help you out.

I can't get the Intro to work in Mega man x6! It skips past it.

Oh, I forgot about the intro video! Now that I think about it, I don't think it runs! Sorry about that. But its not too big a deal.

Here is what I did for my config:

Video Plugin: P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.4

Sound Plugin: Eternal SPU Plugin 1.10

CD-ROM Plugin: ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.4.0.



Video Config:

Resolution & Colours

Fullscreen mode - 1024 X 768
Colour Depth - 16bit

Stretching - Scale to window size, keep aspect ratio

Framerate:

Use Frame skipping (may be needed for games like, Mega Man X5 or X6 but not
necessary for Mega Man 8. Use if the game is either at a slower or
faster pace than is normal.)

Auto-detect FPS/Frame skipping limit (leave set all the time, but toggle
if you want to change/fix a game)

Options:

Scanline mode: Scanlines disabled



Sound Config:

(Check ALL the options at the bottom of the screen BEFORE you click
the Configure button for the specific sound plugin)

Internal Sound Plugin config:

Buffer:

Sound buffer size - 8

Features:

Enable Reverb
Enable SPU IRQ
Enable Noise and Pitch Modulation

Misc:

High resolution mode
Enable XA buffer auto adjust
Wait for XA buffer is free



Try that and see if it works.

Thumbs up Well ummm....

I can't get The opening boss in MMX5 to look properly.
Any help there?

Did you try using my settings above?

Use the video plugins correctly. Are you using an original CD, ISO, or copyied Cd?

And MMX 5&6 Work great , the intro ain't played , but that is an emulator bug

Why post that message?

What does that message mean? Of course you are using a cd.
but it will also work for an iso or bin/cue image.

Unfortunetly, in Legends 2, you can't see the whole ending. It just hangs during a transition....I hope its fixed in the new version of epsxe.

My luck that i'm not in the end of legends 2.....thought....
i hope the new epsxe come fast.....so i can play PE2 and see the Legends 2 ending without any problems....
