sound plugins
this is somewhat of a hardware question but its directly related to epsxe since thats what i'm using.
I thought a p3 1ghz cpu and a radeon 7500 would keep epsxe running fast. apparantly not fast enough. right now I'm playing tales of destiny 2 and in order to get decent sound i have to use peops instead of petes d3d for video. doesnt make a lot of sence since the d3d should be using more gpu power and the soft driver should be using more cpu power. for sound i'm using iori's sound plugin and i have the buffer set to 160 otherwise the sound is choppy. i've tried petes spu and the internal one but both of these are choppy in tod2. my sound card is a diamond card with the aureal chipset so it should be slightly better than a sound blaster 16. is anyone else experiencing choppy sound and is the problem an epsxe thing or is it a soundcard issue. |

i truly doubt it's the sound card but be sure you have the latest drivers and Directx 8 (at least). it could also be your configs...
post them...

PSX fanatic says that you should disable the SPU IRQ fix and SIO IRQ. I can't test that as I don't own the game... yet
