I bought my computer 1.5 years ago and I alreally spend over $200 adding new parts in it. Cheaper to buy a PS2 than to spend a another $500 upgrade to run PS2 emulator.

You know, that "PS2" emulator is looking at a pretty bleak future. So don't count on it.

Your computer looks alot like mine, but I think you have better RAM and video card. Damn.

But not to worry, I was given two semi-crappy computers from poor fallen 3DFX. They have voodoo cards, but I'm going to have to mix n match parts to get a working machine.

I'll tell you a story....

it is about a legandary computer, it had full noboard devices, a patito brand hard disk and a HSP56 modem....

it had 64 megs of RAM, but all of it was between video and sound....

slow as hell and linux did not support it.......

the owner had to install the OS each 3 months....

when you opened system properties to know about its owner it showed

t....a...k......(system error!!!!)

Gee, I guess I'll have to "limp" along w/my Athlon T-Bird 1.2 ghz, GEForce 2 GTS, Sound Blaster Live Value, Pioneer 10x/40x DVD, HP CD writer/rewriter 4x/24x/4x, Win 98 First Edition, and 256 megs of memory. Ok you want beastly machines? Well I've got my old Apple II, then I've got my 286-33 MHz with 2 MB of Ram. Then I step myself up to a 486-33..?. with 16 MB of Ram, still, not able to run win 95 on it. Then I step myself up with a Pentium 75 with still a sad 16 MB of Ram. Then I got a AMD K6(CRAPPY)-200 MHz which I decided to put 64 MB of ram into AND a 16 MB Video card,........i'm not going to describe my previous video cards(I now collect them). Then I got a AMD K7(GOOD)-700 with 256 MB PC133 Ram with a 32 MB Video card. THEN FINALLY WE Come to my comp now. Its pretty sweet AMD Athlon XP 1900 with 1.5 GB PC133 Ram. Geforce 3 video. CDBurner that can burn carbon copies of PSX CD's. SB Audigy ......blahblah......this is my good comp......you want my bad comps......well theres a list of em. I still use them too, it reminds me of my programming days back in Dos days urgh...... what a nightmare.

I played ePSXe on 1 AMD K6-266 (that's equal to a P1, not a P2) It actually ran fairly well (45-60 FPS on SO2) because of my *AWESOME* video card, a Voodoo 3 2000! WOW!

Now I got my Duron 800, with the same video card. But actually I'm a poor bastered now, because I spend all that money upgrading it. Oh well, playing PSX games on a computer is worth the few hundred.
(Hmm should test ePSXe on my 486-66 SLC2 (don't ask).
wonder if it would work ?

I am playing ePSXe on the following puter (with NEAR perfect FPS on high detail modes)

amd k6-2 500 mhz
224 mb 110 ram
geforce 2/gts 32 mb ram (asus 7700 deluxe is board man.)
10/100 lynksys ethernet
24x4x2 creative (actually pioneer is maker) cdrw 4224
soundblaster live platinum

the vdo and sound card do all the work for me... but I have major slowdown on N64 games, cause of the k6-2 cpu... ack....
