Question does fm3 work?

i tried to get front mission 3 to work, but the game will stop at the "...now loading" screen. Is epsxe compatible with FM3 in the first place?

Hello everyone.
Have you try starting ePSXe with the '-nogui' command line?

Hello everyone.
You can use 'run' at the taskbar, or you can change the shortcut at your Windows. Start it by typing 'epsxe.exe -nogui'. I can't remember if there is any space between them or not, but you can try it both.

The "-nogui" commandline worked in older versions of ePSXe, but for 1.4.0 you need to use "-cdtiming" (aka Accurate CD-ROM Timing) to get it running. Also, remember to enable the special game fix called "PC FPS Calculation" in Pete's Plugins, or the gameplay will be too slow.

well, i did try to add -nogui but that didn't work so i will try adding "-cdtiming" next time i try. also, will PC FPS Calculation fix the battle loading problem i get in Chrono Cross?

Not likely, "PC FPS Calculation" screws up timing for most games. What's your problem with CC? A few more details, please.

thanks Badaro, the "-cdtiming" made FM3 work. As for chrono cross battles, the game will initiate a battle and then will go black as if it were loading, but it will load for a long time. Eventually the battle will start as normal, but its a pretty long wait.

Try this:

- Set "Framebuffer Textures" to "Black" in Pete's Plugins

If it doesn't help, it's probably a CD reading issue, so try running the game from an ISO and see if there's any improvement.
