Made a movie of GP2 while I was at it... it's a bit boring, though

Dune 1 sounds completely broken in Dosbox, for one. Sounds nothing like my sbpro. Try this music player app on Dosbox then on your actual sb card, tracks 5 and 9 sound absolutely horrid and the rest arent much better.

edit: well, at least by now Toshinden works fine. It was super laggy on earlier versions, but now it works just fine. It doesnt work with the AWE32 though, which means no soundbanked music, which is a pity because this game had Midi sound that was even more enjoyable then the CD audio version.

Now that I listen to it ..... I think you're right, it seems that certain instruments aren't really either playing at the right tone or sounding totally different. Making the actual music sounding wierd in certain conditions.

YAY! I've been waiting for this for awhile. Very cool! Time to test out SWARS again. That game has fun multiplayer. Anyone notice that as the versions of windows start to loose backwards compatibility the community makes strides great enough to simulate that compatibility.

Well it strongly depends on the game; i.e. TR and GTA run smoothly even on old machines, while Screamer Rally doesn't run as smooth, mostly due to weird tricks it does with lfb lock/unlock mechanism used to directly access the frame buffer.

and now, some old glory in HQ3X...

Didn't need to find them personally. My CD stand is right here, and it still has the older games in there too.. just had been waiting for an opportunity to run them again, which came in the form of doxbox 0.70

I still have a few original dos-games (budget stuff series)

hmm NFS:SE works smooth (used the original CD), only the ingame movies seems to be fux0red (like when you get caught and the cop comes to get you).

only fifa96 is acting like a *****, can't get thatone working.

I've found somewhere on the forum that one of the fifa games use a prefetch technique which breaks dosbox. That was for version 0.63, don't know if it's the same problem you encoutered.

same, and a few later titles (I've only had constantly access to a PC since 1995).

can't fault dosbox for that, the movies in NFSSE were broken om most computers at the time of its release too. Regular NFS should work.

Hey Guys, sorry i hope its the right tread but i´m a little bit desperated. I just bought F22 Lightning II and wanted to run it under dosbox 0.7 and 0.71, and unfortunaly it doesnt work. In 0.71 i get an error message: Insufficient extend memory to run programm. Can you help me? I´m not really an expert, i think rather the opposite of it.
