Could you point which ones? Because all of the commercial AAA are still in the C++ realm.

Nope, not this year. Believe me, I would have attended such a session had I heard about it. It's too bad I haven't heard anything more about this project; I think it's time to mark this project as MIA although I can guarantee this was no vaporware. Around 100-200 developers attended the presentation. As for AAA games developed in Java, it's true they are far and few among the great numbers of C/C++ based games, but I know LucasArts has produced games partially implemented in Java in the past.
