PS2 Exploit to run Unsigned Code
Someone has figured out how to run unsigned code on the PS2, all you need is a memory card and a valid PS1 disc to hijack the boot process. Check it out here http://www.0xd6.org/ps2-independence.html

I think this would be good news to post because it'll allow people to play emulators for PS2 without having to mod their PS2. So it's relevant... plus it could make extracting BIOSes more viable, perhaps.

Re: PS2 Exploit to run Unsigned Code
True, someone could use this along with the PS2 internet hookup to possibly extract the BIOS and then email it to theirself or FTP it to their computer. I think it would make excellent news too.

Re: PS2 Exploit to run Unsigned Code
I've not quite figured out how this works....I mean I understand what it does, but I don't see what happens when you take "Control". It definately needs better documentation...

Re: PS2 Exploit to run Unsigned Code
I think that it would be possible. But there really isn't the demand since most people have USB, not everyone has FireWire.

Re: PS2 Exploit to run Unsigned Code
I'd rather do it that way. Hell I wish there were a load of PS2 utils for Firewire. I haven't been able to utilise my firewire ports too often...
