Exclamation TimTool for TIM2 images

Get it here:
http://sf.net/projects/image/

You'll also find ImageTracer which is a very usefull tool in smart hands. It allows you to view/extract almost any non-compressed image.

Sources are available

Hmm, well that TimTool failed to find some TIM2 images that were in plain sight on a disc, and any that I was able to extract from a .AFS file.. I wonder exactly how it works. That image tracer program looks interesting though, I was able to see the contents of one of the images but it was all stretched out. I'm sure it's good for the pros.

I wrote a guide on simple uncompressed TIM2 extraction, but I'm too dumb and inexperienced in C++ to write a program using my knowledge, so I haven't made one.

I'd like to see some info on how to uncompress TIM2's like the ones found in Capcom Vs. SNK 2. Those I can extract, but only two or three are viewable. :S
I noticed that the headers of those files are shorter by one or two lines of hex.

A program called GGD will be very helpful to you. I have used it to find all kinds of images in games like Namco X Capcom, Disgaea, etc.

GGD Sprite and Image Viewer/Ripper

It has many keyboard commands that are outlined by the small gray window. Please experiment with it thoroughly before inquiring to my e-mail. You may also wish to visit spritefun.oddigytitanium.com to see some of the images that I have ripped using it and other tools.

Have fun. ;D

Namco X Capcom images are original psx .TIM files, and also bitmaps or PNG, can't remember which. I've ripped them too.

I'm retarded when it comes to these programs that show stuff in scrambled pixels and you have to work everything out 'til it looks right though. :S

I noticed some of those Stella Deus pics you have are a tiny bit distorted. Was it this program that output those? Here's how mine came out with just direct hex rips.

Just a couple examples 'coz I only have 20MB or so space on my comcast page. :S
There's a TIM2 plugin for photoshop made by someone named Silverado, but it doesn't support layered TIM2's like the ones found in Stella Deus, and I'm gonna try to mention that to him.

And sorry I didn't know this thread was old, found it in a search, not while browsing the forums. Alternatively, if someone were to create a new thread the same as this, someone would say "search the forums, there's already a topic on this, post there." A two-way "n00b" trap I guess.
Love that word by the way, no way it'll ever be over-used.

Yeah, that's why I explained that I didn't know it was an old thread..

Obviously if a necromancer is some sort of mage that brings things back from the dead, it must mean..

And sorry for being a smartass.
