The end of the rope for N64 emulation?

Bad news guys. It looks like 1964 is joining the evergrowing list of "final release". The scene has seen several emus discontinued. First was PJ64, then Nemu, and now 1964. With 1964 being the last anticipated emu, could this be the end for N64 emulation?

Here's the link http://www.emutalk.net/showthread.ph...252#post127252

The next 1964 will be the final release.

I have off from school for a week starting Thursday, and will work on 1964 from Thursday until next Wednesday. Rice will also be incorporating some of his necessary changes for use with his plugin into 1964. We will also be working with someone else who has offered assistance with certain user interface enhancements.

After this, there will be a beta test period of one month. So, pad the schedule a few days, and the termination date becomes Cinco de Mayo.

Looks like today isnt my day. Not only i hear about PSXeven discontinued, but also about 1964. N64 and PSX emulation will have to end someday I guess,...but there are some authors who will take the challange and try to emulate it once again. the new NES and SNES emus are a living proof of that

Yours,
-Elly
