Wow..the community has really grown harsh..not that we blame them... We think Shiori's scenario might be true...another questionable doubt..Not we, Keith, Dixon, or perhaps Bobbi were approached with news, info, betas, webspace, or the like. Also not of the existing authors (that we are aware of) have been approached with questions on GTE, plugin sources, etc. Innocent till proven is truly the way to go, but at the same time odds are truly being stacked. We withhold all apologies till proven wrong. At the same time we welcome the author to plead their case. Not bash their announcement. |

.The way things going people are arguing for or against this pre-announcement based on nothing. This is a forum, not a journalism article so it will still be acceptable; otherwise no responsible report site will allow unconfirmed/speculative report to engage readers' anticipation and expectation like that. Just like others said, only time can tell. However, further speculation is no longer needed and that's the reason I am arguing for closing. It's admins' decision, of course. |

One question. How would you guys feel if you had made an emu, put all your work into it and gave a realease date as to when its coming out, you only wanna make a good one and make it a surprise so you don't show anything about it or and beta's. AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN PEOPLE BASH YOU LIKE ****, AWW ITS A FAKE GET OUT OF HERE WHEN YOU HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN IT Think before you post

We've had more n a couple of fakes here, so people are skeptical. I am too, but I'm prepared to give the benefit of the doubt.

Well, that last post before Kane's guarantees that at least some people will be eating their words come Dec. 29. Could be me, could be someone else. I've no problems eating humble pie when proven wrong, but my spider sense tell me I'll have nothing to apologize about when that time comes.

Based on current evidence, and past experience I would have to be a doubter on this issue. However I will not lock this thread, for the simple fact remains that this could be legitimate. It would look bad for me or anyone else on the team to have to reopen a thread on such an issue. Of course if the deadline passes and I don't hear a peep on this it'll be locked faster than alcatraz.

so IF a guy who spreads the news of a new emulator releasing but BSes about it or brings out a hacked version they can just get away with it like nothing ever happened?

Er no. Case in point Mauro's web. As soon as it was proved to be a hack it was removed from all emu site's and the said "author" was disgraced. But the important word in that sentence was proved. Prior to its release, a few members expressed their concerns that this "emu" looked decidedly dubious. However then, like now, we gave the "author" the benefit of the doubt. But as I have stated either, sooner or later the truth will come out, be it legit or not. That fact is evitable. Once that moment arrives, THEN we'll decide what happens next, instead of second guessing ourselves.

I am sorry if you were offended by all the negative posts in this thread concerning your emulator and I would like to apologize on everyone's behalf. It's just the scars of Mauro's Web's ePSXiPC are still fresh on people's minds. We all got our hopes up on a new emulator, only to have a crack of an existing one. Please don't be let down by the harsh criticism you've received here.

Ok It Is All Ok. I Called Some of the co-Coders and asked them to come over to help fix the bugs and they told me to tell you all the release date will be 01/07/03 because we are starting now working on the bugs and it will take a little time to fix. Here is one of the bugs on Spryo when it first comes on and u press start it locks up and on resident evil 3 when u go to the police station as the doors are opening it crashes, and that is only some of the bugs but don't worry this will all be fixed. OHHHH and one more thing about bata testing me and the rest of the Dark PC PSOne team do it ourselfs and we dont release batas.
