VIA Hyperion 4-in-1 v4.45

A new driver version for VIA chipsets with new name Hyperion, for all OS. some info:

VIA have led the way in pioneering the unified driver set. The VIA 4in1 drivers, often known as a VIA 4in1 service pack have been the mainstay of VIA systems for years - optimizing stability and comparability. Today (10 December 2002) is an historic occasion, as VIA changes the name to VIA Hyperion 4in1 drivers and launches the driver set, optimized for performance for VIA's latest chipsets. The name Hyperion will most certainly supercede the name 4in1 all together in the future, but "4in1" has been kept in the name for identification sake. The version numbers also continue on from the 4in1 driver series so as not to confuse our customers.

are nforce drivers the equivalent of via drivers, or are these drivers meant for nforce2 boards? getting to the point, does the epox 8rda+ board use these drivers?

Um, andré, this is rather an old thread that you have revived. But since you have asked a legitamite question, I will try to answer it as best I can.
These drivers are not specifically ment for nforce boards. I don't know if they work w/nforce boards. I would suppose that if your nfoce-2 board had at least 1 VIA chipset on it (Northbridge or Southbridge) then these 4-in-1 drivers would work w/your board.
That is what the 4-in-one drivers are designed for, motherboards w/VIA chipsets (like my Gigabyte board). I read that you had to have both chipsets made by VIA for these drivers to work, but Lord Kane told me that he has a board w/a VIA Chipset and an AMD chipset and they work for him. So at least 1 VIA chipset is required. If your board has either one or two VIA chipsets, you should be "good to go" w/these drivers.
The reason I mentioned about reviving this old thread is because there is an even newer version of the VIA 4-in-1 drivers out now. It is 14.46. These drivers are also available at www.guru3d.com
Hope this helps.
sincerely,
sx/amiga

Have you tested these sxamiga ?

any diffrence from the 4.45's ?

edit: from what i could tell , this includes a newer and better version of VIA's AGP driver . so this should be enough to justify a download ..

ChaosBlade, yes I have tested them and I am currently using them. Any difference? Yes, better performance (read speed). They are definately worth the download and installation. Hope this is what you wanted to hear.

Speed improvements is always what i want to hear
though im sure there's not much to gain from a VIA Apollo chip who runs in less then 100mhz FSB .
