At first I thought this is probably yet another C-like disassembly just as the one a few years ago, but this really looks like the real source.

Great news! I wonder how it suddenly appeared after so many years...
Anyway, my poor old computer will be very happy to see a new release.
I saw the space problem fix in Dave's post. It was so simple, a very small change and all the folder names problems are gone.

Does anyboday know if they plan to change it that it supports more APIs than just Glide?

No news about that yet, but if they do, the Glide wrappers will become useless.

Probably not alltogether useless, since there are also a few games that only use the Glide API, but UltraHLE was the main reason why Glide wrappers were made, and if UltraHLE could run with OpenGL or Direct3D as well, then the main reason would be void of course.

It looks like it's being leaked, but NOT an official release; it remains to be seen if there's anything about the licensing issues - if any effort is being made to continue it in open source or any other project.

why don't they just use DirectDraw HEL, which can use glide and directx at the same time.and combine glide2x.dll with the glide3x.dll that dave2001 is working on.

and yes the source code is real, i all ready compiled it in visual studio 6.0 c++.

UltraHLE Source Code 1.0.0

By: Epsilon (95%) and RealityMan (5%)
Get It Here

This will not compile out of the box. You need Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0.

Source code (or docs) for the Glide library, X-Engine, is not included.

Someone has already ported this to use OpenGL. Perhaps they will release it soon.

Look at ultra.h for various info
Contact here

This is a quote from the site where the source was originally released,if you look closely, someone has already ported it to OpenGL .
I personnaly like the "Epsilon (95%) & RealityMan (5%) .
