So, did anybody had, but manage to solve "visual c++ runtime library" error, when starting the emulator? I still have that problem and here's what I've tried:

- to reinstall it,
- to install only 2005. version,
- to install only 2008. version,
- to install both of them and uninstall them,
- I updated my graphic card drivers, directX and even NET Framework (which was a suggestion I got elsewhere)
- I've also tried cleaning the registry, but absolutely nothing helped.

I cannot start regular, nor Atomiswave version of demul.
It's kind of annoying, since I didn't have any kind of problems with demul 0.5.3 where I can run Hokuto no Ken (for example) at full speed, so there's probably nothing wrong with my specs. But, just in case, here they are:

OS: Windows XP SP3
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+
4GB of RAM
NVidia GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB VRAM

Since there is no 2009 version of redistributable package on microsoft's site, I downloaded eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0 for SP3. But, when I try to install it, I get this message:

"eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0 is not installed and is required to continue."

And, then, when I press OK, I get:

"Visual C++ 4.0 SP3 setup was interrupted. Your system has not been modified. To install the program at a later time, please run the installation again."

And, of course, this happens again, when I try to run setup at a later time...

I guess I should wait for demul 0.5.5, this one's annoying me... badly.

Thanks to Scooby from RetroRoms we now have datafiles or Demul v0.55. He provided the clrMAMEPro datfile and I created the RomCenter version with Logiqx's DatFile tool.

Grab both datafiles here.

They cover the BIOS files and all the Naomi / Atomiswave sets.

As for v0.55, it improves speed for Naomi games and the romsets are now compatible with MAME v0.134u2, but the coinage seems to have a bug, and some Capcom 2D fighters are no longer playable. I've already notified the English Demul board.

Update: JacKc released a new version of the clrMAMEPro datfile, updated both files.

Hi Stranno,

Can you tell me if it is possiblo to play Sport Shooting USA with a mouse or better with a wiimote?

I tried to start the game. That worked perfectly. But when I want to choose, the aimpoint stays at the revolver division. I cannot move the mouse/pointer.

Even tried to start demul in fullscreen mode (F8), then an error showed up. Doesn't work.

Most of NAOMI gun games are perfectly emulated, but no one Atomiswave gun game is correctly emulated, some are just inaccurated (Extreme Hunting 1/2, Ranger Mission) and some have not implemented gun control (Sport Shooting USA)
