New version of cdrsapu (PSX cdrom plugin) released

A new version (1.2) of the 'cdrsapu' PSX cdrom plugin has been released.
Relevant changes are:
- added subchannel reading
- added CDDA reading
- improved async read caching performance
- improved ePSXe compatibility
Source code is included (as separate download)

Edited on 01/20/2009:
A new version (1.3) is available, with added selection of spin down time setting (from config window).
Note than not all cdrom drives can support this options, but it doesn't hurt to try ...
Note: Be sure to download the right version (1.3), i kept also the attachments for version 1.2 just in case anything doesn't work as espected...

File Type: zip cdrsapu_v1.2.zip (25.8 KB, 372 views)
File Type: zip cdrsapu_v1.2_src.zip (141.9 KB, 59 views)

Respekt and peace Sapu, and thanks for the source release.

NOTICE PEOPLE.
CDRSapu is better at reading damaged disks/images made from damaged disks(on a virtual drive) then the epsxe internal cdr.

It'd be nice if Sapu had idle spindown controls.

Can this plugin constantly keep the drive spining?, I fined with most plugins... the drive slows down and the games jump when speeding backup again!

I down't know why this happens?

its a side effect of precaching/caching. since the plugin keeps the data cached, the cdr spins down when its not accessed

Nero drive speed, and creative disk detector can prevent the drive from spinning down, by adjusting the idle spin down time... as i suggested above. the application/plugin is also capable of it.

and it would seem its possible via IOCTL, so with a few changes to the source an adjust spindown menu could be added

Code:
CDROMGETSPINDOWN

    usage:

      char spindown;
      ioctl(fd, CDROMGETSPINDOWN, &spindown);

    inputs:        none

    outputs:
      The value of the current 4-bit spindown value.

CDROMSETSPINDOWN

    usage:

      char spindown
      ioctl(fd, CDROMSETSPINDOWN, &spindown);

    inputs:
      4-bit value used to control spindown (TODO: more detail here)
    outputs:    none
