Maybe the word beta, therefore work in progress fends off some people? Just a wild guess here.

And personally i find myself more interested about the next release from the one that is currently out each time there is one, due to all the cool features that are announced to be included next time .

i have to agree with you... and thatīs the reason am planning to do some several changes and additions to @ES.. after releasing 7 betas i finally got the point of what i want to reach and do with this app. and last but not least iīve got some crazy ideas like the "Finger-Tracking" a feature iīve been working since few months silently now.

anyways letīs see what i can bring next time... for the mean time i think the Search layer and additions are good enough to keep you busy until that

Where on earth did you get that "people arenīt interested" feeling from....(?_?)
I mean, as far as I can remember, @ES Had huge attention from the very start, specially due to the unorthodox nature of it's "Screen Grabbing" feature that differentiated @ES from any "Frontend". That's aside from the Bonus Media playing & Rom Library functions, which truly make @ES a unique software...

Just drop that "stopped the development" thoughts, and get back to re-writing the code !

A bug was reported a while ago because Dolphin wasnīt working for few users and after many hours debugging the code i couldnīt find the problem as it wasnīt clear to me where exactly does the code stop to work(thanks goes to Player594 for his help testing too).

well thanks to Master_Cloud i was able to find the bug today!!!!! the reason why it doesnīt work is because i forgot to say that every path in the "Settings" file must end with a "\" (iīll fix that issue in future versions of @ES) to show you what i mean check out the pic below:

Thanks a billion @ruantec, and to show that it's true, here are a few pictures to show how well its working:

It's great that this problem could be solved since many users had the similar problems with Dolphin. All the credit really goes to @ruantec for pointing out that directory path mix-up and trying to debug the the errors.

Hereīs a small update wich fixes the following bugs that were reported by users:

1. bug that causes @ES to crash when trying to open a album/console section/roms etc.
2. bug that caused some stability issues and crashes @ES ramdomly on some computers.
3. bug that caused covers to dissapear after you open a section(cover loading code was broken).

itīs nothing special but just a small fix for now.... just replace the older .exe with the new one and enjoy!!!!

Regards

Hi everyone!

after checking my "todo" list hundreds of times i figured out what i forgot to add to the last update of @ES and thatīs the "Custom File Filter" you may ask whatīs that??? let me explain how it works:

@ES settings file has now a new feature where you can add custom filters.. in that way you can add custom formats to each section if the format you have has not been added to @ES yet. note that the emu youīre using need to support that format too or in case of the Audio/Video you will need codecs installed for that format aswell.

getting started: setting up filters is very easy.. all you have to do is add the format you want to be supported... it should be something like *.(your format) and each one must be separated by a "|" separator but take in mind that the last one doesnīt need to have a separator at the end check out the attached pic to have an idea of how it works or just download my settings file which will serve as template for you needs

Note:
this new build require at least one format for each console section on your Settings file(changes are done on the fly so thereīs no need to restart @ES...just load the album again and voila!!!)

last but not least am moving tomorrow to another place so sadly i wonīt be online that much but i will check out this thread from my work and response to any problem/questions/doubts you guys could have. as usual just replace your old .exe with the new one.

Regards
@ruantec
