Huh. I have Forceware 77.77 (it has support of OGL 2.0 and all that, and I had bad luck with newer drivers), so perhaps it's a problem with old drivers.
Ultimately, it's a problem with iDeaS, though, of course.

I got gpu-z too and my nvidia fx5200 supports 2 vertex shaders but iDeaS says it doesn't. I have forceware 78.01 installed. Problem with the driver or iDeaS?

iDeaS requires Opengl SHaders 1.20.

My card is GeForce 6200 Go, and I have Forceware 78.01 installed.
With that driver, your card only supports DX vertex shaders, you must install FW80 higher to enable GLSL support.

DirectX
Pixel Shaders
Vertex Shaders

OpenGL
Fragment Programs
Vertex Programs

OK that makes the requirement even clearer

Shader Program 1.20 is made available in drivers supporting OpenGL 2.1, so you must install Forceware 150 or higher. Geforce FX cards do not get fully 2.1 support until the 160 drivers, so go straight to Forceware 175.16.

As far as i've seen so far, drivers newer then Release 176 will not work on cards older then the Geforce 8 series. so Release 177 and 178 probably will not work.

There are NO OpenGL 2.1 drivers available for Radeons older then the Xx00 series.

So that means that i can't use the new version since i have ATI SAPPHIRE 9250 and it only supports 1 vertex shader or can i?

The Radeon 9200 and 9250 are Dx8 video cards, and should've been given an 8xxx series name, they only support Pixel shader 1.4 and Vertex Shader 1.1.

they do not suport GLSL at all, and only have OpenGL 1.4 arb shaders available to them.

Nice 1 Lino!

I like that part:
* Add support for Guitar Hero Grip.

I'll try this 1 soon.

Ah, that explains it.
Well then I'll just hope Lino will add an option to disable the GLSL support for next release

The new 177.92 drivers support the 6 and 7 series cards. They are beta, but I haven't had any problems with them yet.

ok, they must be finally backporting the code to older cards. previous drivers would install, but the hardware wouldn't initialise.

lord kaede, read above.

Black Mephisto the MX4000 doesn't have any shaders at all.

ok well thats not true, it has Vertex Shader 0.5... and can run emulated pixel shaders when using Detonator 40.

Absolutely right. I apologize. GF FX 5200 w/ last FW works perfectly. And i must say... what an amazing release, Lino. You rocked!

*EDIT*

i've been testing some, and it's weird; the touchscreen its strangely not working. Am i doing something wrong, or the rest is experiencing similar problems?
