ePSXe Status Update - April 5th 2008

It has been long time since the previous ePSXe status update. During this time the ePSXe development has been on hold and our lives have changed a lot, probably just like yours. In summer 2007 we decided to continue working in ePSXe encouraged by the users support even after 4 years without updates. ePSXe is currently in final testing and we hope to release a new version very soon. We wanted to thank you for your support and show you some screenshots from games that should work better in the next release.

The ePSXe team

Welcome to the official ePSXe website

Its most definitely not, otherwise i've been fooled into thinking that FF8 rumble is working, Brigadine is working, FF9 and ChronoCross are working.

haha.. it's not funny!! I knew it was a lie.. since I am programmer myself, And I knew that losing a source code for a precious program that spent time and brain cells coding it is as losing child.. and three coders losing the source at the same time thats unbelievable.. (I mentioned this 3-4 years ago afaik) well good to see u back guys..

Savestates don't overwrite battery in 1.7 as well, and i've put it through every game i own (about 57)

Exactly 6 years after ePSXe 1.5.2

Great news, but what *really* happened that caused epsxe development to be on hold for a while with no news or news of any updates?

I'm just curious because we've all been worried about epsxe, even more so about the developers who the community has not heard from for a while.

If it wasn't the source code being lost in a crash, could it be they were too busy with work or college to work on epsxe and thus that rumor arose?

Anyways this is great news for the best Playstation emulator in my opinion making a comeback.
