Making big progress on dxbx project today
Everyone has noticed the progress BlueShogun has made last weeks on cxbx, and its good to see that the xbox scene has come back online ![]() It has been a nice summer holliday, and now when its dark, cold and chilly everybody is back behind his desks.. something like that it is i think. But that is not what i want to talk about this time.. Dxbx has made a huge step forward in the loggings. We have been stucked for a long time... and 2day its the day whe made a huge step forward. The logging is comming to the first real steps of hitting the directx registers. Ok we still are crashing, so we did not seen anny pixels change coller ( also not new dead pixels in my tft monitor ) but this is a real step forward. For everyone who is interested into the new Dxbx log file. look at the attechment. |

what i write down is, that we are hitting the directx api`s. but its not working yet... so no video`s screenshots or other things. You can see what is working by reading the log files. thats why i add them to the progress posts |

Ok whats happening this week on the dxbx project ? Now i can tell that we are making huge steps forward again this week. We are almost there to produce screens... but we are still not there. However this morning i get a call EmuIDirect3DResource8_Register that hits g_pD3DDevice8.CreateImageSurface thats where the turok aclaim logo should be pushed in the graphics card. However there is something going wrong and the result of createImageSurface results false. when this is fixed new things will be running ![]() Also i added the new log file for everyone who is interested in the progress report. |

Hi Patrick and Shadow Great that dxbx seems to be very actively in davelopment in these days and progress happens everyday And i was thinking that because i have a extra xbox with about 30 original games, so maybe it could help you guys in work at dxbx. You live in europe right and use pal games? I already asked from Blueshogun but he lives in USA and posting there would be a bit pricey and my machine with games are pal. So please let me know if you would like to have it, i would be very glad to donate it for you free. |

kingis85, I live in the Netherlands.. But what do you mean exactly with posting 30 games ? You mean shipping 30 xbox games to the dxbx team as a donation ? If so we will be very happy to accept ![]() Prehaps you can send me a list of games you have and want to donate. Then we can take a look wich games we can use.. sending all games would also be nice, but prehaps we already have some titels and that also reduces the shipping costs then. PM: me when you want to talk about it. Greetings, shadow_tj |

I personally don't have an Xbox at all - and I don't see why I should get one at the moment. I'm purely approaching Xbox1 emulation from a software development perspective - so I'm not planning to test things on the actual hardware. So, for now: thanks for offering us your xbox, but no thanks. |

For now, nothing works yet. General note to anyone : Please read the FAQ! It's there to prevent unnecessary clutter on the forums. Cheers, PatrickvL. |
