Actually, I don't quite get the concept...

Will the new dolphin be optimized for machines wich support (64bits && dualcore)
...or will it work too on machines having dualcore alone (that's actually the type I have...

)

pleaaaaaase make it work for both!!!

The release will be a 64 bit build only (i think), without a 64bit OS (Windows XP 64) it only works on xp64.

It will not work on windows XP Pro (SP2)? I dont have windows xp 64 yet. I will move to windows vista when i get a 8800 gtx, but since i dont have enough money now, i can not upgrade my system

I am planing to upgrade it in summer but i am not 100% sure.

64bit applications wont open on 32bit OS's.

What the system requirements of Winxp64? And what do you think about upgrading my system? As i say already, i am planing to upgrade my ram and grafics card, 4 GB RAM and 1 8800 GTX. Is this a good upgrade? Or do i need something more? I can not spend more than 1000 euro for upgrading my system, so i want to know is this a good upgrade?

The requirements can be found on the Microsoft website.

System requirements for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition

As for the upgrade, I would go for 2gb ram (thats just me) as 4gb of ram jsut is not really needed at the moment.

Frankly given the changes to dolphin primarily involve your CPU, upgrade that to a core 2, the E6600 or something. More RAM and a GeForce 8800 will just NOT be needed.

Well a core 2 duo E6600 costs 300 euro in my country. A 8800 GTX costs 520 euro. 2 GB RAM DDR 2 800 MHZ costs 350 euro.+ Motherboard... The problem is that my parents dont want to give so much money for upgrading my computer!

They told me that my computer is only 5 months old and that it costs us 1500 euro. Also they told me that it is the BEST computer in the world!

I told them that it is a bit old, and that it is not as good as they think. Bu they dont hear me!!!

I am very angry now!
So i have decide to upgrade only Ram and GPU(if they agree with me!) And after some years i will upgrade my cpu and motherboard too.

Damned, BAXTER you are sending a bunch of prices for upgrading your machine. But you already have a very good one.

Be aware that the PS2 and NGC emulation is not really for our generation of machines as PSX and N64 emulation wasn't for Pentium MMX 233 machines (with this old good ATI rage, at least for me). Upgrading now will make no sense. If you didn't notice even guys with core 2 Duo don't run games at full speed and emulators are still WIP.

And for the price you gave you can buy a NGC and and a PS2 and surely all the games you want to emulate on your rig. So I think you should better save money and wait, I don't know, 5 years? The time we got PCs enough powerful for emulating theses complex consoles that are the PS2 and the NGC.

This is just my opinion.

PS: TsubakiSama, very spamish and constructive way to discuss. Anyway welcome to emuforums.

Most ps2 games runs full speed on my machine, like Kingdom hearts, Teken 4, Inspector Gadget MAD ROBOTS invansion, RE4, Rumble Roses . I know that there are a few games that can not run at full speed on current machines. I have 2 of theese games, Clock Tower 3 and Sly1. Clock Tower 3 runs most time 5-20 fps, and Sly1 1-10 fps. But 80% of games listed as playble, runs full speed on my machine, so i dont have any problems with ps2 emulation. Also GC emulation is not the only reason that i want to upgrade my machine. I want to upgrade it because i want to play the Next Gen pc games, like Crysis, Unreal Turnament 2007, Hell gate London, .

Baxter is just a spoiled little child heh, really if you are going for an upgrade then just get yourself a c2d cpu and a c2d mobo cuz your gfx card is quite nice actually.
